![]() ![]() Note that while the Partner ability does not explicitly prohibit a card from being partners with itself, the singleton rule of Commander formats prevents it nonetheless. Partner was heavily featured in Commander Legends, where it appeared on 40 monocolored (and one colorless) legendary creatures and planeswalkers. If any card refers to your commander (or commanders in general), it means either one of the two. If either commander can deal 21 or more combat damage to a single player over the course of the game, that player loses. Combat damage dealt by each commander is similarly tracked individually. The " commander tax", the additional cost of 2 for every time you've cast a commander from the command zone, applies individually. If either leaves the battlefield, you can return it to the command zone instead. Your two commanders are treated individually for all other Commander rules. Because both commanders start the game in the command zone, the remaining library is only 98 cards. Suggestions? Once I decide on a commander I'll post a decklist.A player can have two commanders if both have partner. ![]() (Counterspells are useless in my graveyard, barring some way to return it to my hand) I feel like the Abzan deck would have a lot more board presence and would be more interactive to play against, and by running permission spells in Sultai I end up milling cards that are blanks in my yard. I like both commanders but I'm having trouble picking what direction would be best. Sidisi's ability is far more relevant for my strategy (Token+Graveyard) and blue gives me access to stuff like Intuition, Forbidden Alchemy, and permission stuff. My other idea was to go Sultai with Sidisi. With Karador's ability to cast dudes from my 'yard, I could put in some haymakers like Knight of the Reliquary and fatties and throw them around as generic threats. One idea I had was going Abzan and running Karador. Obviously I'm G/B, but I'm having trouble picking a third color and a commander. I've been tossing around the idea for a Dredge deck that wins with Worm Harvest+Life from the Loam. ![]()
